Meet the Artist
My name is Rachel and I have been creating art for many years (just a very different
kind of art!) A little back story...I am married to my high school sweetheart for 21 years now! We have 3 children who are now 25, 22, and 17. We moved from Long Island in NY where we lived our whole lives to Beaufort, SC just over 2 years ago.
I was always interested in drawing and painting from the time I was a little girl and all through my school years. I received an AA degree in Fine Arts, and then went on to receive my BA in Psychology. However, when my daughter was very young she had severe allergies to eggs and nuts...so I started baking for her, creating and decorating safe cakes that she could eat. This led to a business of cake & cookie decorating which I started in 2012, now called Frosted Artistry. This business has allowed me to be creative and share my gifts with the world in edible works of art!
All this time I still have longed to get back to painting, and now living down here in the low country I am so inspired by all the beauty and nature that surrounds me. The skies, marshes, water everywhere, and all of my animals are huge sources of inspiration for my paintings. I hope that you enjoy my artwork and that it inspires you and brings you joy the same way it does for me!
