Meet the Artist

Rachel Migliorino is a professional artist living and creating in the breathtaking Lowcountry town of Beaufort, South Carolina. With a lifelong passion for art, Rachel’s acrylic and oil paintings capture the beauty of the skies, marshes, and wildlife that surround her coastal home. Her work is inspired by the natural world, from vibrant birds like herons and pelicans to serene landscapes of beaches and tree-lined paths, and she is dedicated to creating pieces that bring joy and inspiration to her collectors.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Rachel moved to Beaufort with her husband of 22 years and their three children, now grown, to embrace a slower pace of life and connect with the beauty of the region. Her artistic journey began as a young girl, fueled by a love for drawing and painting, which led her to earn an AA in Fine Arts and a BA in Psychology. However, her creative path took a unique turn when her oldest child developed severe food allergies. Driven by love and necessity, Rachel began baking and decorating cakes that were both safe and beautiful, launching her successful edible art business, Frosted Artistry, in 2012.

While her cake-decorating business flourished, Rachel never lost her desire to paint. After relocating to Beaufort over two years ago, she found herself deeply inspired by the Lowcountry’s natural beauty, reigniting her passion for creating fine art. Today, Rachel devotes her time to painting, combining her artistic skills with years of creative discipline to produce captivating works that resonate with her audience.

Rachel’s paintings are currently displayed at the Beaufort Art Association Gallery, where visitors can experience her work in person. Through her art, Rachel shares her love of nature and her journey as an artist, hoping to bring the same sense of joy and wonder to her collectors that she experiences while painting.

Follow Rachel on her creative journey and discover her work online and in person as she continues to explore the vibrant beauty of the Lowcountry and beyond.
